Professional Experiences
Dr Alvin Pang taught at a local secondary school before joining the Ministry of Education, Singapore, as an English curriculum specialist. He then taught the General Paper in a junior college where he headed the English Department. He is currently the Dean of the Training, Research, Assessment and Consultancy Division at SEAMEO RELC. He has been involved in both language teaching and teacher training.

Professional Experiences
Dr. Jack Richards is an internationally renowned specialist in second and foreign language teaching, an applied linguist and educator, the author of numerous professional books for English language teachers, and the author of many widely used textbooks for English language students. He has held senior positions in universities in Hong Kong, Hawaii and New Zealand and is currently honorary professor at universities in New Zealand and Australia. He has published widely in the fields of language teacher education, curriculum development, and methodology, and many of his academic books have been translated into Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, and Spanish.

Dr Marie Yeo has taught English to foreign language learners in Australia, China, Cambodia, Laos, Singapore and Vietnam. She has also trained teachers, university lecturers and educational administrators in teaching methodology, educational management, and supervision. Before joining RELC, she worked as a lecturer at the University of Canberra, the Beijing Second Foreign Languages Institute, and the University of Phnom Penh. She was Head of the English Program at the Cambodia Development Research Institute in Phnom Penh and at the Center for Amerian Education in Singapore. She has also worked as a Consultant with IDP Australia and UNESCO and as an Adviser on several AusAID, USAID and EU-funded projects. Most recently, she has worked with several private educations institutions (PEIs) in Singapore in the area of accreditation.

Professional Experiences
Prior to joining RELC, Dr Roby Marlina spent 10 years as a lecturer in the Department of English as an International Language (EIL), Faculty of Arts, at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. As an undergraduate program coordinator for the EIL department, he developed a three-year bachelor program in Applied Linguistics (English as an International Language), and the first-of-its-kind practical course for postgraduate students on Teaching Englishes for Intercultural Communication. He has also taught various teacher-education courses to early-childhood, primary, and secondary English language teachers from different nationalities. His works have appeared in various books and international journals such as International Journal of Educational Research, Multilingual Education, World Englishes, and Asian EFL Journal. His edited book, The Pedagogy of English as an International Language: Perspective from Scholars, Teachers, and Students (2014), was published by Springer International Publishing. He is also the author of a monograph entitled Teaching English as an International Language: Implementing, Reviewing, and Re-Envisioning World Englishes in Language Education (2018), published by Routledge (Taylor and Francis Group).

Dr Ton Nu Linh Thoai has more than 15 years of experience in teaching English as a foreign language at the University of Dalat, Vietnam. Dr Joel Meniado has more than 20 years of experience in teaching, training, and leading ELT professionals in various countries. Mr Paul Dixon has been teaching English in Asia since 2000. He has taught in a variety of contexts including English for Specific Purposes (ESP) to students from the Royal Saudi Arabian Navy and English for Academic Purposes (EAP) to students on university pathway courses in Singapore and China. Paul has also taught ESL and exam preparation courses in Indonesia and Singapore, and conducted in-house corporate training for companies in China. Ms Lim Soo Heng has more than 30 years of teaching experience. Dianaros has more than 20 years of teaching experience in Singapore. She was a Head of Department (EL) before joining Teachers Network, MOE. Subsequently, she was posted to Curriculum Policy Office, MOE where she was part of a team looking into the implementation of Holistic Assessment in schools. Ms Noorjihan Karim has more than 30 years of experience in teaching English Language and Literature in secondary schools. She has many years of experience as a Level Coordinator (Literature) at government schools in Singapore. In her capacity as the coordinator, she developed course materials, trained and mentored teachers in teaching pedagogies for both English and Literature. She also facilitated school-based research projects.

Dr Steven Tan has more than 25 years of teaching experience in the Ministry of Education, Singapore. Preetha has more than 15 years of teaching experience in secondary schools where she taught English Language to predominantly the graduating classes. Prior to joining SEAMEO RELC, she was an upper secondary Level Coordinator (EL) in an autonomous school where she developed and managed the teaching resources and level programmes. She mentored the new EL teachers and worked with various groups of teachers within the school on English-related projects and competitions. Together with her professional learning team, she has shared best practices during staff seminars and at cluster learning symposium. She was the teacher-mentor to the students from the Talent Development Programme where she coordinated various English-related programmes and competitions.
